Why Boone Needs Its Own Process

Almost nothing about this trade is standardised, which is exactly why it attracts operators who improvise the price at your door. The fix is boring: publish the sequence, publish the refusals, and let people hold you to both. Everything on this page is what actually happens on a job in Watauga County, not a values statement. Every Locksmith Boone NC job we take runs through the same six steps below, without exception.

Insured. Price agreed before we drive. No fix, no fee. (828) 532-7594.

What We Will Not Do, In Writing

  • Quote one price on the phone and a different one at your door
  • Reach for a drill before trying non-destructive entry
  • Tell you a standard residential lock is “not a standard lock”
  • Open any door for anyone who cannot prove they belong there
  • Spare keys cut on the spot, while we are already there

The Six Steps, Every Single Job

Same order, every job, whether it is a 2AM lockout on Rivers Street or a rekey booked a week ahead.

1

A human picks up

Not a queue, not a call centre, not a form. You tell us where you are, what door you are standing at, and whether anyone or any animal is shut inside. That last answer changes the order we do everything else in.

2

Full price and a real arrival time, before we move

A firm figure for the work, the after-hours element if it applies, and honest minutes for your part of the county. If the number changes because the job turns out to be different, we stop and tell you before continuing.

3

We confirm you are allowed in

ID matching the address, a lease, a piece of post, or a landlord on the phone. For a vehicle, registration or title in your name. Every job, including at 3AM in snow. This is not bureaucracy, it is the only thing protecting your door from everybody else.

4

Non-destructive entry, explained as we work

Picks, a bypass or an air wedge, chosen for your lock. You keep the lock you already own and your existing keys still fit. If a lock genuinely cannot be opened without damage, we tell you before touching it and you decide.

5

Keys cut and tested on site

Cut to the original code rather than copied from a worn key, and tested in every door or in the ignition, doors and boot before payment. You watch it work before you pay for it.

6

We fix the cause, not the ticket

A misaligned strike, a frame that has dropped, a dry cylinder, a fob battery on its way out. We tell you what caused today’s call, because otherwise you are paying us again in March.
